Public Safety Solutions > EOTech
L-3 EOTech designs, manufactures, and markets electro-optics products and systems. It uses advanced laser and holographic technology to enhance optical devices in target acquisition systems, recreational sport optics, and sighted automation environments. L-3 EOTech invented, designed, and manufactures the Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS) - the world's first holographic sighting system for small and medium-sized weapon platforms.
XPS
Shortest model
sight yet! This sight is smaller than the former N-cell
battery sight (511/551) and runs on a single battery
123 battery. It also has a longer battery life than
the N-Cell style sights. Smaller, lighter and always
fast with three reticle options. With the new single
battery configurations, the XPS allows more rail space
then ever, leaving more room for rear iron sights, magnifiers
or NV mounts
Features:
• |
Single Transverse 123 battery to reduce sight length |
| • |
Shortened base only requires at most 2 ¾” of rail space
to the 4” N battery sights |
| • |
Battery cap and latch are eliminated and replaced with
a simple O’ring, tethered cap. Better sealing is achieved |
| • |
Battery compartment is now seperated from the base
to allow it to hover over delta ring of rifle. |
| • |
Average battery life at brightness level 12 is roughly
500-600 hours, tripling the battery life Of the N Cell
sights |
| • |
Three Reticle Options |
| • |
Available in night vision (XPS3) and non-night vision
(XPS2) versions. The numbers reflect the Number of
buttons on the back. |

After extensive testing of various optical sights, US
Special Operations Command has standardized on the
HWS as its 1X weapon optic for close quarter, urban
combat zones. To meet the stringent requirements set
and demanded by our elite fighting forces, L-3 EOTech
has developed the SU-231/PEQ (Model 553), modeled after
the ever popular, battle proven HWS design. The SU-231/PEQ
(Model 553) incorporates many additional features required
within the SOPMOD Block 2 program.
Standardized as the weapon sight
of choice by America's warrior elite, the US Special
Operations Command. |
